Charlie Turner played 11 seasons in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos, the Hamilton Tiger Cats and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Turner won the Schenley Most Outstanding Lineman Award in 1975. He played in 7 Grey Cups, winning 3, and was chosen in multiple Allstar team selections.
