Michael, born in the former Czechoslovakia, is one of very few professional football players to be born in Europe. He was a first draft pick of the BC Lions in 1968. He completed his PhD in 1975 while still playing as a wide receiver in the CFL. Eben played the majority of his career with the Toronto Argonauts, 1968-1977.
